last but not least

This blog died on New Year’s Eve from complications of losing its purpose in this web-life. It was one year old.
Soft-spoken and obsessive, HeadOverHell never looked the part of a hopeless romantic. But, in the final days of its life, it revealed an unknown side of its psyche. This hidden quasi-Jungian persona surfaced during the Agatha Christie-like pursuit of its long reputed soul mate, a female blog-browser whom it only actually spent a few precious hours with.
Sadly, the protracted search ended late Saturday night in complete and utter failure. Yet even in certain defeat, the courageous blog secretly clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences.
Uh-uh.
But rather, it’s a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan.
Asked about the loss of his dear blog, Hector Drone, the Pulitzer Prize-winning blogger and executive editor of the New Blog Times, aged 32, described HeadOverHell as a changed blog in the last days of its life. "Things were clearer for it," Drone noted.
Ultimately HeadOverHell concluded that if we are to live life in harmony with the universe, we must all possess a powerful faith in what the ancients used to call "fatum", what we currently refer to as destiny…

In a nutshell, may this blog rest in peace. Thank you all for the ride. Cheers!

anonymous subway surfer

On weekend I came across a TV set, so I switched it on just to update my knowledge of the world's current affairs... There was an x-ray featurette on Madonna's shooting the video for her single "Hung Up". It was funny and entertaining... And then, at some point, when the crew, the star, and the dancers visit a subway station for the dance scene, mrs Ciccione looked at the camera and said "Good Gosh, it's been ages since I have used the tube. I remember when I visited London for the first time, I thought it was the best and most reliable way to move around the city. Then again... back then I was just a nobody, you know, so..."

The same night I took the train in order to go to the theatre to catch a movie. As I was listening to Korn's "See You On The Other Side" brilliant album through my earphones [sorry about that dear Louise & dear Stuart] and waited for my stop to come, staring at unknown faces around me, I felt an integral part of the Nobody horde. Well... it was not THAT bad...

As the man himself [mr. Marilyn Manson] has put it... "We feed machines and then we pray / Look up and down mortified / You should have seen the ratings that day / We are the nobodies Wanna be somebodies / We're dead, we know just who we are..."

Hey Madonna... guess what! Subway is so much better when you use it as a means of transport instead of rehearsing the same dance moves again and again... So good luck and all that but I am going to, erm, hung up now. Goodnight...
