if this is your first night...

And you open the door and you step inside…

This is your life, good to the last drop
Doesn’t get any better than this
This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time

This isn't a seminar, this isn't a weekend retreat
Where you are now you can't even imagine what the bottom will be like
Only after disaster can we be resurrected
It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything
Nothing is static, everything is evolving, everything is falling apart

You have to give up…

And you open the door
And you step inside

And it’s been days since you last slept, ate, worked and acted normally.
And u didn’t mind
You felt alive

But something happened
Things happen, you know
And something really did happen

And it’s just five minutes time, all your need to get some sleep, some food, some pampering…
Well… it all came up for air
And left u breathless

This is your life
It doesn’t get any better than this

Fuck the pain away
No sms
No mails
No phone calls
No cell phones
No availability

Won’t get fooled again

And u open the door and you are all alone
This is your life

I want you to hit me as hard as you can
I want you to bite me as deep as you can
I want you to kiss me as long as you can
I want you to hold me as tight as you can
I want you to be honest and come clean
Then… we’ll talk dirty

someone's been watching fight club. haha. i love that movie, it's got to be my favourite alongside "Enter the Dragon".

It even has three comments i try to live by, tenets, if you will:
- Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.
- let that which does not matter truly slide.
- Reject the basic assumptions of civilization, especially the importance of material possessions.

Nice to see another entry. :)

Dear D,
My blog is not that popular 'cause I don't do any internet public relations, so, since December I haven't even passed the 1.000 visit mark so... don't expect many comments. It also happens I, for some reason even I don't understand, write in a non native language, so the english speaking people find it too naive and Greeks find it kind of tiring. Therefore, no one reads it, hahahaha...
Nah, just joking - but, mind you, people always prefer to look through the keyhole instead of coming actually in [in our case, leaving a comment]. It's kind of ligical - I am not a "comment" type either.
No, this post is not the one I promised you. Sorry about that - it was no false alarm, I just need a certain mood to write it and this week has been... well, let's just say it was one [head over] hell of a week!!! :-)
However, I haven't watched Fight Club since it was screened in theaters. Yes, great movie, excellent direction, nice adaptation of a superb book. But, the inspiation behind this special post was the soundtrack, scored by The Dust Brothers, the production duo that brought us Beck and, erm... Hanson!!! Well, these guys are ace and, there's a bonus track at the end of the cd, called "This Is Your LIfe", where Bradd Bitt reads some lines from the book upon a mind blowing electronica sound. So, I kind of "loaned" the lyrics, changed them a little bit and added some of my own. Suffice to say, it is my favourite track the last week when I'm djing...
Now, as far as your latest post, I've been thinking about it, and I will soon make another comment.
Thank you very much for "passing by"
Talk soon
cheers!!!
P.S. Queens Of The Stone Age rule!!! If you write me your e-mail address I could send you an e-card and a digital game, inspired by their new single...

i have that dust bros soundtrack (alabeit off the net cos i made a good but impossible effort to find it recently) and indeed it is good. i didnt seem to get that bonus track though...mine ends with "where is my mind". bugger. shall have to chase a copy of that.

if youre into the little bonus stuff like that, get the dvd (the one with the picture that gives you impression it's wrapped in brown paper and string, also has red writing) and have a look at the featurettes on the bonus disk. some making of, funnily pessimistic commentary and little shorts and promo posters and so on. point im tryin to get to is theres a poster emblasoned with a soap and "creates a rich lather. like rabies" which i found hilarious but anyway :)

QOTSA!!!! haha, that would be great - send it to tkdwarrior@hotmail.com thanks! :)

P.S. the single, "little sister" sounds awesome, though different.

Bloody hell - Mine ommits the "Where's My Mind?" hahahaha - you see, none of us got the whole picture, hehehe. Seriously now, Pixies' Where is my mind is the song that scores the last minutes of the film but... it's not included in any of the soundtrack releases. "This Is Your Life" was added on a revised edition of the cd a couple of months after the first release.
Yes, the dvd extras are, sometimes, very interesting.
Yes QOTSA sound kind of different - I guess Josh Homme wouldn't just repeat himself and the baldie bass player, Nick Oliveri is not on board anymore, so their new album is supposed to be a step forward for the band. We'll see... I am sending the e-card right away mr.

Yes, I did eat something after all. And I slept for ages. And that didn't make up for all the food and sleep that went missing - but it stopped me from thinking, so... that was pretty convenient, if u ask me. Then, on Saturdays we had some breaking familiar announcements, I had to attend a disguise party, next morning I went to the Monastiraki market for some records, then went back to my office [on a Sunday!!!] checked my mails, send a very important one, did some work [if sleep and food had failed... you can imagine that work couldn't win either] and sometime after 22.00, started BOX-ing. :-) But it was not a good night, I have to say... But I did play "This Is Your Life". Fingers crossed, it will soon get better than this...
:-)
